Twelve Days of Christmas – Day 3: Let’s Decorate!

Christmas Banner

Welcome to the 3rd issue in our “Twelve Days of Christmas” shopping special! Today we’re thinking about decorations, and feature some beautiful handcrafted items to help you create the perfect festive atmosphere in your home this Christmas! Not only have we picked some lovely Christmas baubles and ornaments to hang on the tree, we’ve also chosen some bright and colourful household items that you might otherwise not have considered. There is something for every home, guaranteed to bring cheer to your living space over the holiday. Naturally all our choices make fabulous gifts too!

Christmas Motifs

There is a great selection of beautiful ceramic snowflakes and glass star ornaments in our Craft Britannia shops, so you can enjoy a snowscene whether or not it snows this Christmas! The embroidered hoop would make both a stunning decoration and a pretty gift.

Christmas Ornaments

Wherever there is snow, you’ll find children throwing snowballs and building a snowman, but there’s no need to wrap up well to enjoy our polymer clay and needle felted versions! Team the snowmen ornaments with little red hearts or hanging stars for a pretty table display.

The Tree, the Kitchen & the Loo!

These darling ceramic angels will enhance any decor, while a handmade star on top of the tree makes for a nice alternative to an angel. Don’t forget to decorate other rooms in the house too – how about brightening up a dull kitchen with a bowl of pomegranites and a Christmassy tea towel, or hang some pretty bunting in the loo? You’re sure to get lots of comments!

At the Table

Kids will simply love breakfast time with these cute one of a kind egg cosies, while tatted lace napkin rings will look stunning on a sophisticated dinner party table this Christmas – they make fabulous and unusual gifts too! Add to the festive atmosphere with a bowl of sandalwood melts and some lantern style bunting.

Halls & Walls

Personalised Christmas stockings always make useful gifts, and look wonderful pinned together on the wall or above the fireplace.
A Christmassy wooden sign placed on a hall table will provide a cheerful greeting for visitors, while a winter scene print will add a seasonal touch to any room. If you have time, adults and kids alike will enjoy designing and making their own decorations – for inspiration why not try a creative yarn bundle in Christmassy colours?

Finishing Touches

All these finishing touches make superb gifts as well as adding homely comfort. We’ve picked a luxurious damask cushion, a bowl of pinecones, a pretty print and an everlasting hand knitted Christmas cracker in festive Christmas red, but there’s plenty more to choose from in our members shops!

Whether your preference is for glass, ceramic, fabric, yarn or paper this Christmas, you’ll find 100s more Christmas decorations and decor ideas in our Craft Britannia shops, but perhaps The best thing about all our individually handcrafted items is that, with a little love and care, they will last a lifetime! We hope today’s Gift Guide has inspired you with fresh ideas to dress up your home this season. In our next issue we’re turning our minds to the girls, and bringing you some fabulous gift ideas for women!
